Rolling Steel Fire Door Drop Testing - 1 hr.
(1 Contact Hour approved for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector and Instructor I, II, III)
The Fire Door Drop Testing Process is a 1 hour continuing education course designed to provide Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s) an understanding of the fire door drop testing process. This course will focus primarily on NFPA® 80-(2013) Standard for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives, Section 5.2.3.6 Horizontally Sliding, Vertically Sliding, and Rolling Doors. The course is presented in lecture format with an accompanying Power Point Presentation. Students are encouraged to bring a copy of NFPA® 80 - Standard for Doors and Other Opening Protectives, 2013 edition and note taking material. Additional handouts and sample inspection forms will be provided. This course is also approved for 1 hour of International Code Council (ICC) Continuing Education Units.
