The Florida Fire Marshals and Inspector's Association Presents
The Fire and Smoke Door Inspection Process , NFPA 80 and 105- 4 hr.
Learning Objectives Upon successful completion of this program participants should understand the: 1. Basics of fire. 2. Relationship between building codes and standards. 3. Basics of fire rated door assemblies 4. Requirements for fire rated door inspections 5. Needed documentation for door inspections 6. New egress door inspection requirements and what occupancy types it affects This course is primarily applicable to Annual Rated Swinging Fire and Smoke Door Inspections. It is based on the NFPA 80 and NFPA 105 Standards and areas where the Commissioning/Acceptance Test/Inspection is Identical to the Annual/Service Inspection. The course is applicable to both new construction and existing, but predominately existing.
This class meets the requirements of 69A-39.009 for fire safety inspector and fire code administrator renewal.
The class has been approved for four (4) hours of CEUs for Fire Code Administrator, Fire Safety Inspector I&II, Fire Service Instructor I,II and III.
Instructor: Steve Bolin, Regional Director - DHPace
Steve Bolin is a 29 year veteran of Fire & Emergency Services. Having served with Local and State agencies in both the State of California and the State of Georgia, he rose through the ranks from a Reserve Firefighter to the positions of Wildland Firefighter, Firefighter/EMT, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Fire Plans Examiner, Fire Protection Engineer (Analyst), Deputy Fire Marshal and Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal. He has acquired multiple certifications and professional designations including: CMS - Life Safety Code Surveyor, ICC - Fire Inspector II,
NPQS - Fire Inspector I, NPQS - Fire Instructor I, NPQS - Public Fire and Life Safety Educator, NPQS - Firefighter III, and NPQS - Hazardous Materials First Responder at the Operational Level.
